We have already taken several classes from Appraisal Institute.
We have had expert advise from Green Heights Development Corp. in Tampa on building green along with the varying rating systems applied to these homes (Energy Star rating, LEED and HERS Rating System). We were able to gain many insights into how each of our fields play a roll in the process of home ownership. We specifically learned how to document and report on home construction techniques and those homes which were just retrofitted for more efficiency. There are numerous categories under which to be rated and graded within the industry according to use of resources, electricity, water usage, waste management, landscaping, etc.
We have recently joined the Florida Green Building Coalition and I'm excited to be a part of this movement. We even subscribe to Green Builder Magazine to keep abreast of new technologies and products coming out.
